Film has always been used to inform, entertain, educate and provoke debate. In this spirit, IOM, the UN Migration Agency, organizes the Global Migration Film Festival (GMFF) annually to encourage the public to think about migration differently and celebrate diversity and inclusion.
Since its inception in 2016, the Thailand edition of the Festival has been a phenomenal success with fully-subscribed screenings and consistently positive feedback from the media and public. In 2018, the Festival will return for its third edition in Thailand at the Bangkok Screening Room for five days from 12 December to 16 December.
To reach a wider audience and ensure its continued success, the UN Migration Agency (IOM) is seeking financial and in-kind sponsorship from organizations and businesses interested in committing to the power of change through film.
GMFF runs on a not-for-profit basis and aims to provide equal access to all with every film screening arranged free-of-charge for the public. Funds raised will contribute towards the necessary venue hire, which constitute the bulk of expenses.
Supporting the Global Migration Film Festival is an opportunity for your organization to promote its branding among a diverse audience, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contribute towards a better and more inclusive world.
